You may have read Kitty O’Meara’s poem written in the context of COVID-19:
And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.
And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed. – Kitty O’Meara
During this forced time of introspection, we invite you to consider engaging in the hard and good work of taking care of your soul and working on strengthening your true self. Your true self is the only self that can love well during the times we are living in that are stretching us far beyond our comfort. The true self is what we hope will emerge after the suffering that we are experiencing together as a world community. Your true self is the only self that can really endure to become a light and an encouragement in serving others.
The ministry of Faithwalking is all about revealing and calling out the wholeness of your true self in your life. We have been helping others on this journey for more than ten years.
We invite you to use the present time to take one of our courses beginning later this month and in May.
We are conscious of the financial concerns that are impacting all of us, so we are offering a 20% discount for all registrations that take place in April. Enter the code “STRENGTH2020” in the “discount code” field during the checkout process to receive the discount. If you have completed one or all of the Faithwalking Core Four courses and are interested in starting Faithwalking Foundations, contact Angela Raley for information about an additional discount. We invite you to participate.
