A Christian business man, relatively successful by most measures, three great kids and a wonderful wife… so, why did I still “feel” like a 14 year-old inside? Everything I did to please God left me flat and kept me searching for more. Then came one of those conversations with Jim when I would later ask, “Why would God wait 40 years to speak real ‘truth’ into my life?”…  For the first time in my life someone listened to me… REALLY listened… long enough to see through the BS… to express REAL and GENUINE LOVE for the person God created (not the polished shell)… and in that raw conversation “authentic love” awoke issues of forgotten trauma, anger, fear, control… things I had to either face… or consciously walk away from and live a known lie. That conversation ended with the realization that the thing I wanted the most out of life, to be loved, was the very thing I could not accept… However, it began a journey of learning to accept God’s love first, and how to live… REALLY LIVE! To be transformed by God where my past no longer dictates my future. Unlearning much of what I thought I knew… and learning about this thing called faithwalking…That journey continues on today.
